Madame Tussauds has unveiled new wax figures of Megan Thee Stallion at locations in Las Vegas and New York.
The 28-year-old rapper’s persona in Vegas, which went public on Saturday (May 20), features a newspaper print bodysuit and matching cowboy hat inspired by a photoshoot from her 2020 album, good news. Her New York character, who will be unveiled on June 1, will wear a diamond bikini, cowboy hat, gloves, and choker.
“I honestly wanted to kiss myself,” Meg wrote on Instagram, along with a shot of her posing with wax figures and a 10-foot-tall stallion statue. “Hotties, we’re officially legendary. Go see me at @madametussaudsusa.”
After seeing her post, some of Megan Thee Stallion’s famous friends had a hard time telling the difference between a rapper and her wax figures. “First slide I couldn’t tell which was a dummy,” SZA wrote in the comments.
The wax figures were created by a team of 20 artists and took about six months to complete.
In March, Meg teased a new album at the Vanity Fair Oscar party — much to fans’ excitement. when asked before Entertainment tonight On the possibility of new music on the way, the rapper replied, “Oh me, new album, f—y’all hoes, bye!” before walking away with a laugh.
A new full-length project will be a follow-up to her 2022 sophomore effort, traomazinewhich debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 and included the singles “Sweetest Pie” with Dua Lipa, “Plan B”, “Pressurelicious” featuring Future, “Her” and the Key Glock-assisted “Ungrateful”.
