Although we’ve heard some rumblings about the OnePlus foldable over the past few years, and TechRadar hit the exclusive when the phone maker wanted to make its foldable plans official earlier this year, we haven’t got our eyes on the first foldable phone — Until now .
Thanks to a collaboration between popular tipster company OnLeaks and technology site Smartprix, the pair have published a series of renders of what is supposed to be OnePlus’ debut foldable, believed to be called the ‘OnePlus Fold’ or ‘OnePlus V Fold’.
With OnePlus’ deep ties to sister company Oppo, the Oppo Find N2 was supposed to serve as the basis for OnePlus’ first foldable phone. However, if we’re to believe the renders we see here, OnePlus’ entry will have a distinctly original and different design.

The renderings above — which were apparently provided to Smartprix by OnLeaks — are said to be based on “a prototype unit in the testing phase, which is usually very similar to the finished product.” This statement leaves open both technical interpretation and potential design changes to the final product, but we don’t have much reason to believe the OnePlus Fold (or OnePlus V Fold) won’t look like this.
There are elements throughout the renderings that reflect OnePlus’ current design language, for example the circular camera bump on the back, reminiscent of the company’s current flagship – the OnePlus 11 – and its first tablet, the OnePlus Pad.
The main camera arrangement appears to include a large and conventional primary and secondary sensors, along with a telephoto sensor and an LED flash in the corner. It also bears the Hasselblad branding for the company’s recent flagship phones, indicating that its partnership with the company will continue, and that it will provide specialized tuning for the photographic experience.
Furthermore, there is a faux leather back, a physical alert slider, a centered front camera on the outer display and a balanced front camera on the foldable main screen. We can also see the power button located in the side of the metal frame of the phone which appears as if it acts as a fingerprint sensor; this thing OnLeaks was pretty much confirmed in a tweet After the initial offers are published.
lost and found
For those familiar with Oppo’s current foldable portfolio (or at least those who’ve read our hands-on Oppo Find N2 review), it should be clear that — assuming these renders are accurate — OnePlus is blazing its own path on the first foldable phone.
The Find N2’s squat aspect ratio (like the Find N before it) is what sets it apart from the taller, slimmer vertical-folding entries from the likes of Samsung and others, and OnePlus appears to land somewhere between the likes of the N2 and Galaxy Z Fold 4, judging by proportions. phenomenon described in these presentations.
In addition to its looks, the OnePlus Fold is believed to run on Qualcomm’s yet-to-be-announced Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 2 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, and is expected to feature a 2K 120Hz LTPO AMOLED display. Other rumored specs include a 50MP main camera, 32MP front camera, and a 4,800mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC fast charging.
These are all speculative specs at this point, of course, but if the predictions are correct, the OnePlus Fold / OnePlus V Fold should be a contender for the best foldable phone list when it arrives, possibly in the third quarter of this year.
