Reina Lafantaisie, L.L The self-titled Leader of the Harries had a sweet reunion with Harry Styles at his show in Coventry, England on Monday. Styles snapped a photo with Lafantaisie, the cute grandmother who handed him the award for Album of the Year at the 2023 Grammys, at his show this weekend.
“Imagine my shock and joy when I was invited backstage to meet Harry and let him walk up to me singing ‘Reunited And It Feels so Good’ from Peaches and Herb while giving me a hug,” Lafantaisie wrote on Instagram on Tuesday. “He is the most caring, down-to-earth, down-to-earth person with a great sense of humor. His smile and liveliness lit up the room!”
She added, “I could go on and on forever but simply saying he’s just so cute.”
The 78-year-old Canadian woman posed with Styles while wearing a white T-shirt with the words “I gave Harry Styles a Grammy” on her shirt. In her post, she also thanked her fellow Styles stans that she met on the show.
“You were all so lovely, friendly, and kind as I am sure you are all reading this. So proud to be a part of your world,” she wrote.
She later added, “Let’s all continue to share kindness wherever we go and be proud to be its fans. We’re getting ready for our next party tonight. My cup is spilling.”
Lafantaisie was one of the fans chosen to represent their favorite artists, who were each nominated for Album of the Year at the Grammys earlier this year. Styles won the trophy for his LP Harry’s houseAgainst ABBA, Adele, Bad Bunny, Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige, Coldplay, Kendrick Lamar, Lizzo, and Brandi Carlile.
During the show, Styles hugged Lafantaisie after handing him a Gramophone and giving his acceptance speech.
“I never really thought about it, I never dreamed it would happen, so I never thought about it,” Lafantaisie previously said. Entertainment tonight about the moment. “But when he came up the stairs and came right up to me and gave me a hug. Like, it was a real long hug. It was so sweet. And I hugged him again, of course, but in my mind, I was like, ‘Does he have a grandmother? He misses his grandmother.'”
“It’s very real and unreal,” she added.
